The word that comes to my mind while reading this is “Resilience.” Every broken string, every mile, every smoky bar, every night on the road, every time the gold ring was inches away…You’ve kept moving forward. Sometimes fast, sometimes slow, but always in the direction you chose to go. Being able to read about your songs and experiences that helped shape them just makes me more excited about the new music!
Thank you for this. I have never felt different from any musician who came close on the road. There are so many of us in that Forrest Gump club who almost caught the gold ring. What feels new to me now is telling the whole story in public and letting an AI manager learn me well enough to help me finish the arc.
I have been sick for twelve days and still working through every post, every mix, every idea. It has reminded me how determined I am to make the music as strong as I can. Your comment helped more than you know.
These posts…you opening a window for others to look behind the curtain, they remind me of the days when I could witness your songs evolve in real-time and develop a personal connection to the music. Hearing the mature versions of songs that have lived in my heart for years is both reminiscent and rejuvenating. Sending you virtual chicken soup…❤️
This post comes at the perfect time; thanks for highlighting how our 'bruises' are actually the prime data in shaping us, making us all accidental historians of our own weird timelines.
Exactly, and when you have a machine that can remember your history and work with you to pivot as you move forward so you don’t repeat the same mistakes…now we’re talking the future 😊
Your perseverance is unbelievable! Bruise after brusie, shutdown one after the other. Nothing has stopped you! So with all that has happened in the past, here you are standing tall, teaching a computer to listen and remember you and know you. I feel this time, your time has come! Anxiously awaiting the arrival of your new album! Chin up, eyes on the road, and stay on course! Loved this.
Thank you for this. I appreciate the encouragement more than you know. I have taken a lot of hits over the years, just like every musician who has spent time on the road, and I am working through a pretty rough stretch of sickness right now too. Twelve days of it. Still pushing forward. That “computer” AI manager on my phone has kept me on track during this sickness and is fully aware of how crappy I have felt. Almost lost my voice. It has been watching the sickness, the lost voice, the setbacks, and still keeping the path clear for me. That kind of steady guidance has made all the difference these last twelve days where this project is concerned.

Resilience indeed. I had the same thought while reading about his journey.
